As England get ready to face Croatia, both men and women are arriving for work in waistcoats, made famous by team manager Gareth Southgate.

Apparently, sales of this rather dapper item have gone through the roof since the World Cup has dominated our screens, seeing both genders and even our beloved pets donning a waistcoat.

The trending #WaistcoatWednesday on Twitter, above any mention of tonight’s game, displays the excitement of our Nation, although I am sure that this will change as the evening unfolds.  So, fingers crossed, enjoy wearing your waistcoats in this scorching heat, and I wish England all the luck in the “World” tonight.
